Review: Revlon Creme Gloss

I love the shine and staying power of MAC Lipglass but sometimes I wish its more pigmented - like lipstick. When Revlon sent me these babies, I got so excited and immediately played with them. Am I disappointed? Read on...

Revlon Creme Gloss in Patent Leather Pink, Crush on Coral and Peachy Sheen

The next-generation in lip gloss with both full-coverage color and extreme gloss shine. Collagen complex and light reflecting particles give lips a fuller appearance. Vitamin E and collagen condition for ultra-soft lips. Unique flow-through brush offers smooth, even application.

RETAIL PRICE: Php 475? Will verify.

WEIGHT : 1.18 ml

SHADES : Available in more than 10 deeply pigmented, high gloss shades.

* the brush type applicator and the sleek packaging reminds me of my Stila Lip Glaze.
Pen type glosses are hygenic coz you don't double dip. After every use you can wipe the brush with tissue.
* consistency is thick - i prefer sticky and thick glosses
(like MAC Lipglass and Lancome Juicy tubes) coz they last longer.
* i love the smell! Not too overpowering.
* staying power is amazing! Applied it at 1pm... occassional sips of water + snacks at 3pm, by 5.30pm the color faded a bit but I can still see a bit of gloss is still left and my lips felt moisturised.

* you have to twist the bottom end several times during the first use. Sometimes I end up twisting too much and a lot of product comes out.
* container holds a little amount of product (1.18ml). For reference, MAC lipglass has 4ml.
* some may find the texture tacky - if you don't like sticky glosses.

Don't forget to apply lipbalm first so that the creamy formula glides easily.

This is pigmented like a lipstick but with the shine of a lipgloss. Perfect coz i love both! This creme gloss saves me time when I'm in a hurry.

Quick post: Stylissimo Gala Fashion Show

Hi girls! Last saturday was a very important event for me. Its the day of our Graduation from Makeup School - plus we did the makeup of the models for the Stylissimo Fashion show held at the Waterfront Hotel Lahug. We started doing makeup at 2pm and we finished at around 7pm (i did the makeup for 6 models). It was a very tiring day but it was worth it! Thanks to my mentor, Jessie Glova coz without him this wouldn't be possible.

My works
First Look - dark lined eyes with red lips

Sneak Peek : Urban Decay Hall of Fame Set

Can't believe I already own one!

I love the graphic print!

Tadaa... what's inside

This value set includes:

Eyeshadow Primer Potion XL size 16 ml
PROS: Made my eyeshadows stay put throughout the day without fading or creasing.

CONS: the packaging coz is not sanitary compared to squeeze tubes like Too Faced Shadow Insurance which I plan to try as soon as this runs out..

Mini 24/7 Eye Pencil in Zero (black)

PROS: the texture is really creamy and glides easily. I love the true black color!
Did not smudge on the upper lashline.
CONS: Smudges on my waterline. This also needs constant sharpening =P that's why I prefer retractable pencils.

Mini Lipstick in Midnight Cowboy (sheer beige shimmer)
i love the vanilla-ish smell plus this lipstick is really shimmery and non-drying.

Barely shows up on my pigmented lips, I can only see shimmers.

Mini Pocket Rocket Lipgloss in Timothy (coral with pink glow)
PROS: Non-sticky and pigmented
CONS: none =) i love this!

Mini Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara
EDITED: 7/19/2010
PROS: the wand is full sized and has a unique shape that prevents your lashes from clumping. It does not smudge
too! The trick is to apply a thin layer at a time. . Love it!
CONS: none! im just sad that this product is not available locally =P

Timothy Lipgloss & Midnight Cowboy Lipstick

Swatches with flash

The Hall of Fame set is valued at $54 if bought individually, but this is only priced at $29. The good thing is that I got it during their Friends and Family sale for $23. So I paid around Php 1,300 including shipping fees (US-Manila-Cebu) + Buyer fees.

I pre-ordered this product from Ms. Catherine of My online shopper in Multiply. You can Pre-order from her any product from the US stores/websites. She only charges a minimal amount for shipping and handling plus your stuff will be delivered at your doorstep, so no more customs charges!

As what I experienced before, I tried ordering some stuff at an online store in the US but I only chose USPS shipping and poof! It got lost! That's why THIS is much safer IMO and inexpensive. I learned my lesson =(

Review : The Face Shop Span Oil Control Primer

PRODUCT INFO from tube:
Formulated with sebum absorbing powder and pore smoothing elastic polymer, this makeup primer minimizes shine while enhancing the staying power of your foundation.

DIRECTIONS: Smooth on a fine layer before applying foundation.

RETAIL PRICE: Around Php 400+ in stores.

Bought this from a fellow girltalker coz its always OOS here in Cebu.

NET WEIGHT : 30 ml / 1.01 fl oz.

* product is easily absorbed
* the gel texture is similar to the famous Smashbox Photofinish Primer
* color is transparent green but turns clear once applied
* feels lightweight
* non-sticky and easy to blend
* inexpensive
* controls oil during the day (take note that I don't have super oily skin)

* i read this is already discontinued?! Boo!
* the scent kinda strong for my liking but it disappears after a few minutes

I use this after my Hype Gluta-C moisturiser. You only need a small amount for the entire face. I only use this during special occasions coz I'm afraid that the silicon content might break me out.

I love this primer! Hopefully they will have new stocks soon...
