MAC Studio Correct and Conceal Palette in Light swatches

If you have been reading my previous posts, you'll know that my Holy grail concealer is MAC Studio Finish. I use it as undereye concealer and for hiding blemishes.
Imagine my delight when my friend from the US, Dona gifted me this concealer palette.

PRODUCT INFO:
A professional palette of four concealers and two corrector shades in a medium colour wave. Enriched with antioxidants and suited for all skin types, they can be used individually or combined to match any skin tone. Emollient-based formula delivers medium to full buildable coverage in a natural finish. Helps to correct skin tone and conceal dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoos and birthmarks.

6 g / 0.21 US oz.

This concealer palette retails for $35 at www.maccosmetics.com

My favorite brush to apply this concealer is the MAC 242 Synthetic shader brush ($25).
I love it 'coz it is versatile, it can be used for powder or cream products like packing on eyeshadow, applying cream bases or paint pots.

NC15     |  W10
NC20      |  NW20
PALE YELLOW  |  PALE PINK

It is so convenient to bring because of its size, I don't have to bring separate concealers during travel. For reference, here it is compared to the Studio Finish concealer.

Swatches:
 Flourescent lighting

Natural lighting

Overall, I'm in love with this palette! The shades included in this concealer/corrector palette fits my NC15-NC20 skintone. It has everything I need to highlight, hide undereye circles, and cover blemishes. If you buy individual shades of Studio Finish concealer it costs Php 1,100 each, this palette costs around 2k and you'll get 6 shades already.

What's your favorite concealer palette?

Colourpop Golden State of Mind Review and Swatches

After one to two months of contemplating and lemming for this palette, I finally gave in and bought one. I love shimmery shades for eyeshadows, so this is too pretty to pass!
Gaahhh... I knew I have to get one before this one goes out of stock - forever!
This palette is Limited Edition, by the way.

This palette retails for $26 at Colourpop's website.

It has 15 shades and weighs 1 gram each, so it sums up to 15 grams for the whole palette.
For reference, each individual Colourpop Supershock eyeshadow weighs 2.1 grams and retails for $5 each.

Innisfree Skincare review

Hello Shopcoholics! If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you'll know that I love Innisfree's Green Tea skin care line. I had it in my cart for a few months but I was hesitant to buy the full sized bottles at first because I am not sure if it will work for me.

I saw a trial kit available at Shopee for less than 300 pesos and decided to give it a try. In fairness, the mini sizes lasted for more than a month, and I am surprised with the results. After trying it out, I was confident to buy the full sized ones and I am very glad that the green tea line works for me.

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Skin Toner- a milky liquid that restores  moisture to the skin. It doesn't sting and absorbs quickly.

Innisfree Green Tea Serum - I love that this serum is non-sticky and feels so lightweight on the skin. You can use it during nighttime or before makeup for a dewy look. This is one of Innisfree's best sellers and is highly raved by bloggers and youtubers.

Innisfre Green Tea Fresh Essence - I only use it during daytime as to control the oil on my T-zone. This is a gel-like moisturiser and is good for people with combination to oily skin.

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion - a lightweight moisturiser that is non-greasy and absorbs quickly. It is easy to spread and doesn't feel heavy.

Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Cream - this is the final step of my skincare routine. I usually apply this after the lotion to seal the moisture on my skin. I alternate this with
Woonjin's Water bomb cream (review to follow soon) depending on my mood.

Innisfree Green Tea Sleeping pack - this cream has tiny beads called nutrition capsules that burst upon application. I use this once or twice a week.

Innisfree Jeju volcanic cleansing foam- i love that this cleanser removes makeup residue but doesn't strip my skin of its natural oils.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask - this is also one of Innisfree's best sellers. I only use it once a week to declog my pores. My skin feels refreshed and soft afterwards.

In addition to the products above, I am a fan of korean sheet masks. I am loving the ones from Nature Republic and Innisfree. I keep some of my masks in the fridge coz I love the cooling effect.

After using the green tea line for  6 months, I’ve noticed that my skin feels so much smoother, hydrated, and clear looking. I know there's a lot of products in my skincare routine, but I always enjoy applying it as it relaxes me. And the results are so worth it.

By the way, you can buy all the products mentioned at Althea Korea’s shop HERE.

All items are 100% authentic and shipped directly from Korea. They offer free shipping for orders Php 999 and above.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder Review

If there is one makeup product that I cannot live without, one of them would be loose/setting powders. Not only does it make your makeup last longer, some new formulas nowadays has a blurring effect to minimize skin imperfections. One of my favorite brand of translucent loose powder is Laura Mercier but a tub is priced at almost 2k pesos.
Is this a good dupe for LM? Read on to know my thoughts.

Althea sent me this product a few weeks ago and I was lucky enough to be the first to try it. This is the first product under their brand name. The cute box is reminiscent to Althea's iconic pink box.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder is a translucent loose powder that claims to set makeup  and leaves behind a silky finish. It is infused with oil from Althea seeds, this powder works to keep sebum production without drying out the skin for a radiant, fresh look.

The powder is housed in a pink container with a sifter. I love the fluffy puff that comes with it and use it to set my makeup. The size of this velvet powder is also perfect for touch-ups and in your makeup kit since the size is perfect for travelling.

This only comes in 1 shade, but don't fret because it is translucent and blends with any skintone. Please refer to my swatch below. It goes invisible after blending.

Althea Petal Velvet Powder swatch on NC20 skintone

The texture is ohh so soft, and velvety! It feels lightweight on the skin, looks invisible (doesn't alter the shade of your base/foundation) and mattifies my skin without making it look flat. It has a blurring effect that minimizes pores and blemishes. What I also like about it is that it doesn't give a white cast on photos.

It is made with 100% pure silica that has excellent oil absorbing properties for a long-lasting sebum control.

Overall:
If you are on a budget, I highly recommend this powder and is a good alternative/dupe for the famous Laura Mercier Translucent powder. This is available on Althea's site for Php 210 (3 grams).
For the price, it does a good job in setting my makeup and gives me a flawless look. On my combination to oily skin, I noticed that my t-zone starts to get shiny after 4 hours. On my drier areas, i didn't notice any dry patches so it is safe to say that this powder is formulated for all skintypes, from dry to oily.
