Review: MAC Bronzing Powder

It's officially summer! Tan and bronzed skin is now IN!
Read my review to know more about my favorite bronzer.

PRODUCT INFO FROM MAC:
A lightly frosted, tinted powder that gives skin sheer, natural colour effects and highlights. Ideal for enhancing a skin tone or to accent or strengthen a tan. Skin-conditioning and formulated to provide a smooth, even application on all skin types.

PRICE: Php 1,350.00

NET WEIGHT: 0.35 US oz / 10 grams

WHERE TO BUY: Rustans, Ayala Cebu

SHADES: Available in 2 shades.
* Golden - for pale to light skintones
* Bronze - for light to medium skintones

PROS:
* Golden is a lovely soft bronze shade with shimmers (according to MAC), but don't worry the shimmers are not that visible when applied.
 * I like that the compact has a mirror for easy touch-ups, and is made of a high quality material. I've dropped it 2x already and thank goodness, the powder and mirror are still intact. Whew!
* texture is finely milled
* pigmentation is quite sheer, but the color is buildable. I personally prefer sheer bronzers compared to the pigmented ones for easier application. Less mistakes too if you accidentally apply too much =)
* I use this to contour, and it looks really natural on my NC20 skintone.
* doesn't look orange or muddy
* long-lasting on my normal-oily skintype.
* doesn't accentuate pores
* looks good with any color of blush.
* non-comedogenic (doesn't clog pores)
* non-acnegenic (doesn't promote acne)

CONS:
* Limited shades available here in the Philippines.
* Expensive but trust me this will last you a long time. Been using it for more than 6 months already, and I still can't see a dent on the pan.

TOOLS TO USE: MAC 168 Angled brush or any angled bronzer/blush brush

OVERALL:
I have used NARS Laguna bronzer before but I decided to sell it coz of the rubberized packaging that easily attracts dirt. It is a pain in the a** to clean! So that's why I've decided to buy this bronzer coz when I was working with MAC this is my fave products.

Review: Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip color

 I have received this press kit from Bobbi Brown a few months ago, and after road testing the lipstick a few times I am now ready to let you know what I think about it.

PRODUCT INFO:
Bobbi's revolutionary new lipstick - Creamy Matte Lip Color combines the look of a classic matte lip with incredible wearability. Creamy and moisturizing, it glides on comfortably and feels light-as-air. Not to mention that it's got staying power, too (it won't budge for 8 hours). Inspired by the looks she was creating for Fashion Week, Bobbi set out to develop the perfect color range, everything from nudes to brights to bolds. We're pretty sure you'll want more than one color.

PRICE: Php 1,350.00

NET WEIGHT: 0.12 oz / 3.6 grams

WHERE TO BUY: Rustans, Ayala Cebu

SHADES: Available in 13 gorgeous shades.

PROS:
* I love the the sleek black tube! The packaging is so similar to the Sheen Supreme Lipsticks from MAC.
* Uber pigmented -  All i need is a swipe or two to achieve full coverage.
* Long-wearing -  lasts for 5-6 hours on my lips and leaves a stain when it starts to fade.
* Easy to apply - creamy when you swipe it on  and dries to a beautiful matte finish.
* Non-drying - compared to other matte lipsticks I've tried (*oughs* Ruby Woo * coughs*)
* smells good, but not overpowering.

CONS:
* not completely transfer-proof

OVERALL:
Call me brand snob, but I will never think twice on spending moolah on high end lipsticks, especially if I really like the color (as long as the price is not more than 1.5k LOL). Don't judge me coz I haven't found one brand that can match the staying power and the lightweight feel of the high-end lippies.

I highly recommend this product coz it has all the qualities I'm looking for in a RED lipstick.... matte, creamy, non-drying and long-lasting.

My Go-to Everday look using Mary Kay products

Hello Shopcoholics! I can't remember the last time I posted an FOTD, so here's one for you guys. For this look I mostly used the products I got from Mary Kay Philippines a few months ago, plus their Baked Eye Trios which I have reviewed the last time.

 PRODUCTS I USED ON MY FACE:
Mary Kay Foundation Primer (P1,375)
Mary Kay Timewise Matte Wear Liquid Foundation in Ivory 5 (P785)
Mary Kay Concealer in Ivory 1 (P415)
Mary Kay Sheer Mineral Pressed Powder in Ivory 2 (P650) not included in pic

EYES & BROWS
In2it Brow Powder (P350)
MAC Brow set in Girl boy (P1,000)
Mary Kay At Play Baked Eye trio in Earth Bound (P499)
^ I used the taupe and medium brown shade only.
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner in Black (P475)
MAC Extended Play Lash (P1,150)

LIPS AND CHEEKS
Mary Kay Mineral Cheek color in Strawberry Cream (P420)
Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in Pink Melon (P700)
Mentholatum Lip Ice in Strawberry (P80)

TO SET MY MAKEUP:
Mary Kay Makeup Finishing Spray (P1,300)
  Using these two products help keep my makeup looking freshly applied for hours.

 In this pic, I used a different shade of lipstick. This particular look can take you from day to night by just changing the color of the lipstick to a darker shade. What I like about neutral brown shades is that it suits any shade of lipcolor from nudes, peachy-pinks to red/plum shades (just tone down the blush if you are wearing a dark shade of lipstick)
