Review : Revlon Age Defying Moisturising Concealer

Revlon Age Defying Concealer in Light/Pale

Product Info from Revlon:
Hydrates like an eye cream. The only concealer with Botafirm, conceals imperfections due to aging, dark circles, and discolorations.

RETAIL PRICE: Will verify. I think this costs around Php 600-700.

WEIGHT: 11 ml

SHADES : Available in 4 shades.
* Light/Pale, Light/Medium, Medium, Medium Deep.

PROS:
* has spf 25
* hygenic (and convenient) squeeze tube packaging
* no weird smell
* tube contains a LOT of product
* smooth consistency and easy to spread
* does not settle into fine lines
* non-drying
* good staying power. Did not crease, fade and flake throughout the day.
* nice coverage. Brightens and conceals my undereye circles.

CONS:
* limited shades available.

TIPS:
If you have dark undereye circles like me, apply corrector first before applying concealer. My favorite is Ben Nye Blue Neutralizer #01. Gently pat until product blends with your skintone. Apply Revlon's Age Defying concealer with a concealer brush or your fingertips on top of the corrector. Make sure to PAT (not rub) to avoid "erasing" the product. Set with loose powder with a fluffy brush or puff to avoid caking.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
Currently my HG liquid concealer! This is much, much better compared to MAC Select Cover up which I find drying when used on the undereyes. I highly recommend this concealer to those who have fine lines under the eyes or people with dry skin.

Warning: Beware of this seller...

Notice the topmost pic? The above photo was taken from my review of Skinfood Gingko BB cream! An Indonesian seller stole my pics, and worst she even CLAIMS that I am using their anti-wrinkle/ spot removing cream. This seller posted my pics on her Facebook account as if I am a user of their product, which is untrue.

I already asked Facebook to remove the photos and I'm glad they did but too bad the seller has 6 other accounts (under Yosh Skincare).
I can't check to see if she is still using my pics on the other accounts unless I add her as a friend, that's why I am asking assistance from you (my supportive readers) to help me report to Facebook if they are still using my pics on their accounts.

I feel sorry for their buyers if it does turn out that their product is a sellout, that's why I am driven to take action against their dishonorable act. To the seller, if you're reading this, please set this matter right.

Review : Skinfood Salmon Darkcircle Brightening Powder

Product Info from Skinfood:
A dark circle concealing powder containing salmon oil and micro beads brightening powder to brighten tired eye area.

TO USE: Use after Salmon Darkcircle concealer cream using the enclosed puff, apply elaborately onto dark circles around the eyes.

RETAIL PRICE: Php 900+ at Skinfood stores. Bought it in Ebay for Php 470.

WEIGHT: 2.5 grams

SHADES : Available in only 1 shade.

PROS:
* cute packaging
* powder is finely milled
* i love the smell!
* a little amount goes a long way
* does not settle into fine lines
* puff is soft

CONS:
* expensive
* didn't really brighten my undereye area =(

TIPS:
After applying concealer, use provided puff or a fluffy eye brush to apply powder. Use only a little amount to prevent concealer from caking.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
I'm disappointed with this... a waste of money IMO. I prefer using Ben Nye's Banana Visage Poudre to set my concealer & foundation =P

My other favorite product is Ellana's Multi-purpose shadow in Hush (now on my 3rd pot). It is a matte beige shade that can be used as eyeshadow base to even out your lid color before using eyeshadow or as an undereye brightener.

Review : Revlon Matte Powder Blush

Revlon Matte Powder Blush In Perfectly Peach
too bad the compact broke when I got it =(

Product Info from Revlon:
Creamy, soft matte blush that gently contours cheekbones.
* Brushes onto cheeks smoothly and effortlessly for a soft matte look and a smooth, even finish.

* Perfectly defines and contours cheekbones
* Specially coated pigments offer a soft matte look without sacrificing color or wear

RETAIL PRICE: Php 625.00

WEIGHT: 5.1 grams

SHADES : Available in 3 shades.
* Rose Rapture
* Perfectly Peach
* Barely Buff

PROS:
* brush included is soft!
* sleek packaging
* fragrance-free
* sheer but builable color
* non-chalky
* color lasts for more than 5 hours on me
* its matte but the finish doesn't look "flat"
* I usually don't look good in Peach blushes coz usually they look dirty/weird on me, but this one doesn't.
* the shade reminds me of NARS Sex Appeal blush although I haven't seen the actual shade but you'll be the judge. You can check out Heatherette's blog for swatches. Sex Appeal is described as a soft peach blush btw.

CONS:
* mirror is too small
* may not show up on darker skintones.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
To be honest, when I first saw this blush I really didn't like it. Why?
1. It looks Blah on the pan
2. Its matte - you know I love shimmery shades
3. Its peach - I've tried a couple of Peach blushes in the past and I didn't like it.. I prefer peachy-pinks.
But when I tried this blush I instantly fell in love! I really love this, I really do! This is the only peach blush worked for me (so far)! =)

Styli-style Liners
Swatches

From left:
Flat liner 24, Liquid liner, Brow pencil, Lip liner 24

To test the staying power, I placed my hand under running water.

Rubbed 3x.

Rubbed 10x! haha

MY THOUGHTS:
Brow Pencil in Taupe (Php 75) - I rarely it coz I prefer powder brow colors but this is easy to apply & the color didn't fade throughout the day. If you're a fan of pencil type brow colors I highly recommend this!

Lip liner 24 in Nude (Php 75) - creamy and glides easily. The shade is barely noticeable on my lips when used alone and it makes my lipstick & gloss last longer. I only use this on special occassions though coz I don't like the heavy feeling of wearing a lip liner. =P

Flat liner 24 in Blackest black (Php 85) - a waste of money! Its too dry and tugs my lids. Good thing I bought it cheap! This sells for Php 400+ at Beauty bar.

Liquid liner in Black (Php 100)- the marker tip pen is thin and its so easy to use! No racoon eyes during the day and its also easy to remove with makeup remover.
