If you’ve followed me on Instagram, I posted a pic of the YSL products that my cousin from Dubai gave me. Shout out to Kuya Jed and Ate Nery (please follow her YouTube channel and Shopee Account Closet Fairy for Authentic makeup, perfumes etc).
Aside from the lippies they also gifted me with the famous YSL Touche Eclat that I have been lemming for a long time now. Will post a review soon. For now read on to know what I think of these famous lipsticks.
FYI, I have the tester lipsticks that comes with a clear cap. The formula is the same except for the packaging. The regular ones look like this, it comes with a gold square cap with the YSL logo engraved on it. The packaging looks so luxe right?!
Moving on, the first shade that I have is the YSL Rouge Couture Lipstick in 24 Blonde Ingenu.

24 Blonde Ingenu is a neutral peachy-beige shade with a satin finish. This is a pretty nude for fair skintones. It looks nice on my NC20 skintone and doesn't wash me out. The con is that it may accentuate dry lips so it is best to exfoliate first then prime the lips with a lipstick base + balm to smooth out lines and moisturise the lips.

The 2nd shade that I have is the YSL Rouge Couture ’The Mat’ Lipstick in 207 Rose Perfecto

207 Rose Perfecto is described as a rose pink shade with purple undertones. It is smooth and creamy to apply, and sets to a velvety matte finish that isn’t drying. It does not accentuate dry patches compared to 24 Blonde Ingenu. It is long wearing, and leaves a stain when I tried to remove the lipstick swatch with tissue. It is also long lasting on the lips, and leaves a natural stain behind.
If you are sensitive to scents, both YSL lipsticks that I have are heavily scented so you might consider that one before purchasing.

Tip before applying Matte Lipsticks:
For smooth lips, exfoliate my lips first with Ellana All Natural Strawberry Vanilla Lip scrub and wipe with tissue. Follow with MAC Prep+prime Lip prior to lipstick application.
Before going to bed I also use the Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask to remove dead skin cells while I sleep.
Overall:
I’m in love with both shades.
Blonde Ingenu is an everyday nude shade for me that brightens up my complexion, while Rose Perfecto on the other hand looks flattering on my NC20 skin tone. This particular shade looks good even with minimal make up.
