Review : Revlon Photoready Compact Makeup

Revlon Photoready Compact Makeup in Shell

PRODUCT INFO from Revlon:
Revlon Photoready Compact makeup is the perfect answer to those looking for PhotoReady makeup benefits but prefer the compact makeup form.

* Cream makeup that transforms to liquid using build-in liquefying screen.
* Photochromatic pigments bend, reflect and diffuse light to help erase flaws
* Full, yet undetectable coverage
* Soft powder finish
* SPF 20
* Oil Free, Fragrance Free, Paraben Free

RETAIL PRICE: Php 995.00

WEIGHT: 10 grams

SHADES : Available in 6 shades.
Vanilla, Shell, Natural Beige, Medium Beige, Cool Beige and Rich Ginger

PROS:
* unscented
* sleek compact
* does not settle into fine lines
* foundation has a smooth texture and its easy to blend
* buildable coverage (medium to full)
* no breakouts
* no whitish cast on photos
* lightweight feel
* I only need to retouch once during the day.
Note: I have normal skin with slightly oily t-zone.
* still gives me that Photoready glow sans the shimmers. If you love the coverage of Photoready Liquid but you find it too shimmery for your taste, then this product is for you!

CONS:
* I wish the mirror was bigger.
* The SHELL shade of the compact makeup is a tad darker compared to the liquid version but I just use a lighter shade of powder to fix this.
(see photo below).

TIPS:
* Apply with a damp sponge if you want a medium coverage.
* Use a dry sponge if you want to cover slight blemishes etc and apply in patting motion.
* Always wash the sponge after every use. I prefer to use the wedge sponges that I bought at Beauty bar since its more hygenic. A pack of 30 pcs costs only Php 150.
* Even if it dries to a powder finish, don't forget to set with loose powder.

ADDICTION FACTOR:
You all know how I love the Photoready Liquid foundation (I find the Colorstay foundation drying for my skin type), and I'm really happy Revlon came up with the compact version coz its really handy and its easy to use especially when I'm in a hurry!

RATING : 4/5
