Review: Too Faced Born This Way Multi-use Scuplting Concealer

Hi Shopcoholics!
One of my favorite makeup product is concealer. In fact, I have tried a LOT!
From drugstore to high end ones... from different textures - cream, liquid, sticks!

My HG concealer is still MAC Studio finish, I use it to cover undereye circles and pimple marks.  On some days where I just need something light and with a good coverage, I prefer to use liquid concealers. They say that the best liquid concealer is the Tarte Shape Tape, but i beg to disagree :) You see, I also own Shape tape and I find it too drying even with eye cream underneath. They say that Too Faced Born this way is the hydrating version of Shape Tape. Maybe I’ll do a comparison next time.

15 ml

Available in 35 shades.
I got the shade PORCELAIN. Iis described as very fair with neutral undertones, a perfect match for my NC20 skin tone.

I am impressed with the amount of concealer that this product has. Most concealers in the market only contains 7-10 ml. This baby contains 15ml guys! Sounds a bit expensive but you actually get to save moolah  =D

I also like the big doefot applicator, it is similar to Tarte’s shape tape. This makes the application fast and easy, but sometimes you get more that what you need.
For hygenic purposes, I swipe it on the back of my hand and use my beauty blender mini to apply it on my face.

This product is unscented.

The texture is creamy, thicker than most liquid concealers but it blends like a dream and offers medium to full coverage. It doesn’t dry too fast once applied therefore giving you ample time to blend it.
I also love that this concealer doesn’t have Spf to avoid white cast on photographs.

This lasts the whole day! Really, I am not kidding! Even when I sweat, this baby doesn’t budge. It doesn’t settle into fine lines as well. I use Ben Nye Loose Powder to set by the way.

Since this concealer is pigmented, I suggest to apply it sparingly. One dot is enough for the undereye area.

In the Philippines, Too Faced is only available online, and it is hard to choose which shade matches your skintone. You need to seach online for swatches  and make a guess 😁
For reference, I have Porcelain and it is perfect match for my Nc20 skintone.

-Use edge or tip of applicator to sculpt with a finer line for precision.
-Use flat side for fuller delivery.

To Retouch/Conceal Under-Eyes and Hide Hyperpigmentation:
-Place a dot from the flat side of the diamond doe-foot applicator directly on area of discoloration.
-Blend into skin with fingers, concealer brush, or a makeup sponge in a pressing (stippling) motion until flawless.

To Conceal Blemishes:
-Place a dot from the tip of the diamond doe-foot applicator on blemish for precision coverage.

To Contour:
-Choose neutral to cool-toned shades three tones darker than your natural skin tone to create a believable shadow and shape.

To Highlight:
-Choose a shade two to three shades lighter than your natural skin tone and in your same

As you can see, the finish is not too dry nor oily.

I am in love with this concealer!  So far, I can say that this is the best liquid concealer that I have tried. In terms of longevity, coverage and texture, this baby is a winner. This has more coverage than NARS Creamy Radiant concealer, and not drying compared to Tarte Shape Tape.

FYI, my blogger bestie Hollie of Random Beauty also loves this concealer.
